MYOTHERAPY discovering the cause of a person’s pain or discomfort, while also identifying and addressing any contributing factors
Myotherapy
Myotherapy is a form of manual therapy which uses evidence-based assessment, treatment and rehabilitation techniques to treat neuromusculoskeletal (nerve, muscle and joint) pain and dysfunction.
Part of the integrative approach to a myotherapy treatment is in discovering the cause of a person’s pain or discomfort, while also identifying and addressing any contributing factors.
A wide range of functional tests and assessments along with different treatment techniques are utilised to deliver an accurate and effective treatment session.
Myofacial release, joint mobilisation, nerve manipulation, trigger point therapy and a strong focus on corrective/rehabilitative exercises and stretches are all techniques used in myotherapy.
Understanding the biomechanical dysfunctions that cause your body’s present condition can help to prevent future injuries.
