Princess Fragonia

Hailed as the new aromatic princess, this essential oil has created a lot of interest in healing circles in its native Australia and France. Indeed it’s been through the collaboration of agricultural specialists as well as emeritus professor of aromatic medicine Dr. Penoel and a team of dedicated aromatherapy researchers and practitioners to bring this new botanical marvel to the world.

Fragonia has been assessed as having healing properties for the respiratory system as it can soothe the irritation of nervous coughing as well as clearing mucus.  It has also been found helpful in cases of inflammation. Just like the now famous tea tree oil, Fragonia is effective against microbes, bacteria and fungus. It is also an immune tonic and is therefore recognised as a good prevention and well-being program. This being a new essence, the information has been recently compiled by the International Federation of Aromatherapists (Australian branch) and Dr. Daniel Penoel.

As far as the meditative aspect is concerned, Fragonia holds a lot of promises. Much of the work is still on an experimental level.

Its application for meditation lies in its overall balancing effect. It seems to have arrived at the perfect timing when most of us in the modern urban environment feel alienated from nature, both inner and outer. Using Fragonia on a regular basis can help us start to recognise the life balance we crave and dream about as an absolute necessity. This essential oil helps become more in touch and pro-active about implementing such balance.

About 5/6 drops can be added to a formula, 2 drops can be placed on a tissue as well. The best time for Fragonia is at night time as it has a powerful effect upon the dreaming process. It has been found to encourage lucid dreams. It seems Fragonia can help house-keeping dreams, assisting the psyche in making sense of the day’s reality. It helps the dreaming mind to sort out difficulties and dilemmas that plague us, however it does this with the help of the subconscious mind, which is our most powerful ally.
